Join us for groundbreaking October 13, 2018 from 10-2. Official groundbreaking ceremonies will kick off around 10:30 followed by a family fall festival that will run till 2. Fall festival activities will include oversized lawn games, pumpkins, music, craft stations, a book giveaway, and a picnic area. Food trucks with a variety of tasty options will be on site if attendees wish to purchase lunch.
Immediately after the official groundbreaking group photo, we would like to invite service groups and other LEO’s Haven supporters to take an individual photo of their group at the event as well as have a designated leader make a short speech if you so wish to do so. Please contact Tricia Potts at firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on that list. There will also be a sign up sheet during the day of the event as well.
Parking will be available at the Sheriff’s Center and Live Oak Elementary School. Parking attendants will be on site to help direct parking traffic. Disabled parking will be at the Chanticleer Park site, east parking lot. There will also be a passenger drop off area at the park groundbreaking site.
Accommodations have been made to help mitigate some of the issues that come with accessibility due to the unfinished nature of Chanticleer Park. The east Chanticleer Park parking lot will be reserved for disabled parking. There will also be a passenger drop off area right by the groundbreaking stage at the main Chanticleer Park parking lot. The park has packed earthen surfaces, grass, and wood chips. Accessible portapotties will be on site.
